Rottweiler would arise from the famous lineage of the Mastiffs of Tibet.
It would have arrived in Germany during the Roman conquest.
And so it made its entrance to the town of Rottweil. Arrived there, it had crossing of races of the style herdsman and dogs with wide jaw to give the race such as we know it now.
Rottweil is a moving plate where gathered worldwide traders. Among them, there were butchers who used it as working and guarding dog.
The story also tells that they hung on their purses on the dog's neck for protection, where from the nickname of "Metzgerhund", translated literally by:
Butcher's dog.
